We are open 8.00am to 6.00pm weekdays and have a range of telephone/face to face/online consultations available. We are also able to direct you to the most appropriate health care professional.

NHS 111

NHS 111 provides confidential health advice and information by phone and online 24 hours per day.

Contact NHS 111 if you are ill or injured and unsure what to do next, have any questions about a condition or treatment ,or require information about local health services.

Pharmacist

  • Common colds
  • Sickly stomachs
  • Any other common illnesses

Your local pharmacist can provide advice on common illnesses and the best medicines to treat them.  Some pharmacists also offer other services such as:

  • Advice on stop smoking
  • Emergency contraception

Self Care

A range of illnesses can be treated at home by combining a well stocked medicine cabinet with plenty of rest. Ensure your medicine cabinet is stocked with:

Paracetamol, anti-diarrhoeal medicine, rehydration mixture, indigestion remedy, plasters and thermometer.

Out of hours service

When the Surgery is closed the Out of Hours service – is     NHS 111. NHS 111 will direct you to a local GP centre or give telephone advice.  Please do not hesitate to call this number during these hours if medical attention is needed.

The Acute Care Team

The acute care team provide treatment to adult patients in your own home and where appropriate, arrange services to support in order to prevent hospital attendances and admissions.  They are available 24 hours, 365 days a year. They can be contacted by ringing   07909 975364.

Minor injuries units

If your injury is not serious you can get help from a minor injuries unit (MIU) rather than an A&E department. By doing so you allow A&E staff to concentrate on people with serious and life-threatening conditions and save yourself a potentially long wait.  .  They can deal with Sprains and strains, wound infections, minor burns and scalds, minor head injuries, insect bites ,animal bites, minor eye injuries and injuries to the back, shoulder and chest.

ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCYThis is for serious illness or injuries that require immediate attention.
